This shoe is lightweight and waterproof with exceptional underfoot spiked traction to allow you to play at the highest levels. As a newly owner of true links myself (have the all day ripstop at 10oz) and having and still using a fj hyperflex, i am just curious. Built on 2021's HyperFlex III and the many other HyperFlex models before it, this is FJ's latest iteration of their high-performance shoe offering. This breathable performance mesh is a vacuum formed engineered mesh with moulded ribbed knit saddle for structure and support.The all-new Hyperflex Carbon delivers tour-level stability and performance with a moulded carbon fibre power plate and additional underfoot cushioning, provided by an OrthoLite® Impressions FitBed®. Another feature unique to Hyperflex Carbon is the carbon fiber used in the outsole to increase the stability of the shoe. The footbed is said to mould to your foot over a number of rounds giving you a personalised fit - not only is it super comfortable but it also locks you into the shoe during the swing. With FJ throwing around words like: athlete, modern, fine-tuned and (you guessed it) carbon - there's clearly a bunch of new tech packed into these golf shoes. This HyperFlex Carbon shoe is equipped with Pulsar LP Cleats by Softspikes®, these are low-profile spikes to give stability and high support from the 1 st tee box to the 18 th green.

StratoFoam uses a proprietary blend of cushioning to provide optimal support and comfort for conditions encountered while playing golf - swinging, walking and everything in between. An integrated thermoplastic saddle wraps your foot for lateral control and the Power Stabiliser design maintains connection to the ground for maximum energy transfer. The HyperFlex Carbon fits true to size, but if you prefer a tighter fit there is definitely room to go down half a size.The combination of the firm FTF+ midsole wrapped with a thermoplastic outsole wing enhances stability across your entire foot. I think they are a huge improvement on the previous HyperFlex model, which to be honest were not to my taste at all. That said, does the added 8oz of weight garner that much more stability in that shoe compared the the true links? Not only did they grab the title of Best Waterproof golf shoes, but they also won the overall 2023 Best Spiked Golf Shoe award. Wait, if that was two pairs, maybe the FootJoy HyperFlex Carbon wide golf shoes are my third pair of wide shoes tested.
